On my recent layover in Dubai I not only chanced upon the Vogue Cafe exhibition, I also discovered Shoe heaven…
The Level Shoe District in the Dubai Mall is bordered by Gucci & Chanel to name just a few and is probably the biggest shoe collection I have ever seen. It also has velvet couches which are great for sitting in while you deal with the emotions that overcome you being in this awe inspiring place .
Everywhere you look is luxury and decadence…

I could not resist taking a corny photo outside the Ducati caffe. I mean seriously, a restaurant built around a Ducati theme? You really can find everything in Dubai…
FYI- being tall and blonde I stand out a little but personally, I do not want to draw too much attention to myself so I dress relatively conservatively. This day I kept it simple in my Lee Denim jeans, Asos white Tee and wedges from H&M. (Dubai is a very modern city and you can wear most anything but it is good to remember that it is an Islamic country and dressing respectable is still highly recommended.)
Step outside and it gets even better with a large man made lake and the Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world! In the evening this place showcases an amazing water fountain show which kicks The Bellagio’s fountain right out of the water ( excuse the pun )
